Hello patient CGL friends!
The 2026 Cancer Gets Lost Online Charity Auction will be open from Saturday, April 25 at 8:15am ET through Saturday, May 2 at 4:15pm ET! There will be a live link directly to the auction right here when it opens!
And yes, every starting bid price is a LOST number, as is CGL’s tradition. :)
We Have to Give Back!
CGL will be donating 100% of ALL 2026 auction proceeds to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The BCRF is the largest private funder of breast cancer research (and metastatic breast cancer research) in the world, and also the highest-rated breast cancer research organization in the country. Like so many of you, I have lost too many friends and family to breast cancer, including my aunt and grandmother. So CGL is genuinely honored to be able to support such an essential cancer organization.
Charity Auction Registration Details
Registration for the CGL 2026 Online Charity Auction is now OPEN, for those with U.S. shipping addresses only (please read below)! At that time, everyone will be able to view all CGL auction items. You will have 2 full weeks to register, bookmark your favorites, etc.!
Click HERE (the link below) to register and/or view the auction in Preview Mode!
There is a blue “Get Approved to Bid” button in the upper right corner of the auction site. You can log in if you’ve previously registered there for a CGL charity auction, or create a new account!
Auction registrations will be approved one by one, as I have to make sure that everyone registering has a U.S. shipping address (see International Shipping Restrictions below), so I appreciate your patience in advance! Usually registrations are approved within hours!
**IMPORTANT: Please register to bid using an email account that you actually check and use! It has become a challenging issue for me after charity auctions when I am unable to contact a few winning bidders because they never actually check the email they registered with.
Providing a Method of Payment When You Register
When you register for the CGL 2026 Charity Auction on the external host site, it WILL ask you for a credit card. HOWEVER! It is for security purposes only, and neither the site nor CGL will charge anything to your card.
This is the message you’ll see when you register:
“By clicking ‘Confirm Your Information’ below, you agree to allow your credit card to be authorized for $1.00 CAD by ‘LIVE AUCTION GROUP PORT COQUITLA BC’ to ensure your card is valid. This amount will be held for 7 to 30 days before being automatically released.”
International Shipping Restrictions
**With apologies to kind supporters abroad, please note: due to alarmingly high increases in shipping costs across all shipping carriers + myriad other current issues out of CGL’s control, the 2026 CGL Charity Auction is open ONLY to bidders with U.S. shipping addresses.
*However! If you live outside of the States but have a friend, relative or office in the U.S. that is willing to hold on to a package for you, please email me before you attempt to register for the 2026 CGL Online Charity Auction so I know to approve your registration! It is genuinely upsetting that I have to limit auction participants this way, but the risks far outweigh the benefits for CGL. As you know, almost all of the items in CGL auctions are irreplaceable and/or one-of-a-kind. The risks involved in shipping said items have increased by a LARGE margin.
IF a CGL auction package is broken, lost, etc. – every single cent donated by the winning bidder WILL NOT be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Instead, CGL will have to reimburse the winning bidder the amount paid for the item. That is a worse-case scenario for CGL, for the BCRF and for the person who won the item. It has happened before, and the fear remains that it could happen again. Thus, the decision to limit auction participation to those with U.S. addresses only. The hope is that CGL can open up auctions to fans across the globe again sooner than later!

NO Buyer’s Premium Fees!
Most auctions of this magnitude require winning bidders to pay a Buyer’s Premium fee per item, in addition to the winning bid and shipping cost. CGL covers ALL Buyers Premium Fees (3% per item), so that you don’t have to! Winning bidders will only have to pay final bid prices for items won + shipping costs. This allows CGL to donate 100% of ALL auction proceeds to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation!
Post-Auction and Payment Details
After the 2026 CGL Charity Auction ends and if you’ve won an item or items, CGL will email you an invoice within 24 hours that includes detailed instructions and CGL’s specific payment link! Please do NOT attempt to make a payment anywhere before you receive your CGL invoice. {Please never attempt to make a payment for a CGL auction item on the external auction host site iCollector OR via the PayPal app/site; CGL and FJC will never see or receive that money.}
The only acceptable method of payment for CGL auction items is PayPal, which (after you receive your invoice) must be made directly to the CGL PayPal account using the Donate link on this website (which directs winning bidders to the only CGL PayPal account, managed by CGL’s fiscal sponsor FJC).
If you don’t have a PayPal account, you will be able to pay for your auction items using a credit card via PayPal!
Payment for auction items you win is expected in full within 7 calendar days of the day you receive an email invoice from CGL.
Realistic CGL Shipping Timeline
Shipping take place from late April through early May. I am quite literally a party of one and responsible for the packaging, labels, and shipping of all auction items. No complaints, just facts!
In addition, people are still experiencing longer-than-usual shipping delays from all carriers due to many events that are out of my control, so I really appreciate your patience.
Donating ALL Auction Proceeds
After all winning bidder payments have been verified by FJC (CGL’s fiscal sponsor) AND all auction packages have been received, 100% of the proceeds from the 2026 Cancer Gets Lost Online Charity Auction will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation! This usually occurs 2 months after the auction has ended.
If you aren’t able to participate in this charity auction and/or are interested in just making a small donation to the BCRF, CGL appreciates your consideration! You can either donate via their site directly or via CGL’s Donate button above on this site, and 100% of your contribution will be included in the final post-auction donation to the BRCF (if you donate any amount between now and December of 2026 AND forward CGL your email receipt)!
CGL Transparency
Full disclosure: I fund and run Cancer Gets Lost myself. I am a full-time volunteer and have neither kept or ever earned any money raised in CGL charity auctions (nor do I plan to). CGL is a true labor of love; I am deeply proud to have dedicated my life to fundraising for myriad cancer charities!
Thank you!
Thank you for your tremendously kind support of CGL and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation! Your contributions will make an actual, impactful difference in the lives of breast cancer survivors and their families, and help fund further essential cancer research.
Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions! (CancerGetsLost at gmail dot com)
