Greetings, kind CGL friends! I have a few major CGL Charity Auction updates for you.
CGL 2027
Transparency time. Inventory-wise, not too many items have been donated yet for the 2027 CGL Online Charity Auction. However! I have a potentially huge pick-up of rare collectibles in Los Angeles later this year and anticipate that the next CGL auction will indeed be filled with amazing items for you to bid on (as usual)!
For family related reasons and circumstances, I have not set dates yet for the 2027 auction. If I had to guess right now, next year’s auction will take place in the Fall rather than the Spring. Once the dates are set, I will also announce which cancer charity I have designated to receive 100% of all CGL 2027 auction proceeds. Stay tuned here and on Instagram for all updates!
Films and shows represented in next year’s auction, so far: Alias, Avatar Ang: The Last Airbender, Avengers: Doomsday, Dungeon Crawler Carl,Evil, Fallout, Fringe, Heated Rivalry, K-Pop Demon Hunters, Lanterns, LOST, The Odyssey, Schitt’s Creek, Silo, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, The 100, The Vampire Lestat, WandaVision and The Wheel of Time!
CGL 2028
Relatively huge news to share here!
It is more than likely that the very last (large/typical) CGL Online Charity Auction will be in 2028. CGL will not be shutting down, but rather down-sizing substantially in two years and over time for myriad reasons. Ideally, I imagine CGL hosting 1-3 very small online auctions per year, with every cent raised continuing to be donated to designated cancer charities!
The CGL 2028 Online Charity Auction will be LOST-focused! It feels right and full-circle to complete this incredibly successful cancer charity fundraising adventure by honoring the show and fans that inspired the creation of this little non-profit back in 2010!
Over the last 16 years, I have been quietly collecting a sizable number of very rare items for the final CGL LOST auction. Many LOST collectibles are actually from my personal collection; I feel it is now time for others to get to enjoy them! And thanks to the ongoing kindness of those who worked on the show (both behind and in front of the cameras), a large number of the LOST items for this auction are signed by the cast and creative team!
Thank You!
For your patience, for your support and for your dedication to giving back. Awe-inspiring and motivating.
All of it has fueled every step of the CGL journey, and I am immensely grateful for the collective YOU (ALL EVERYBODY!
Take care of yourselves, lovely humans.
More soon!
