2014 Charity of Choice

This year our charity of choice is the American Cancer Society, in honor of Jo’s mother-in-law, who has pancreatic cancer.

Our primary fundraiser is our online charity auction, hosted by Blacksparrow Auctions, open from September 1-27, 2014. 100% of the proceeds from items sold in the auction on behalf of CGL will be donated directly to the American Cancer Society, and a portion of all proceeds from items consigned by Blacksparrow will also be donated to the ACS!

In addition, CGL will be hosting a silent auction onsite at LOST 2014 in September, and 100% of the proceeds from this auction will be donated directly to the ACS.

NON-AUCTION DONATIONS

For those of you who have kindly inquired about making contributions to the ACS via Cancer Gets LOST and/or would prefer to make a financial donation rather than bid on items in the charity auction, here are the simple instructions.

  1. Go directly to the ACS site and fill out a Charitable Contribution to the American Cancer Society form. You do not need to designate that it is for CGL; donate in honor or memory of anyone you choose.
  2. Email us your donation receipt for any contribution amount (jo at jopinionated dot com), and we will send you either a CGL wristband or poster. Your choice!
  3. Your name will be added to our list of 2014 CGL ACS supporters.

Namaste!

  1. Hello,
I am an illustrator and wanted to know if you needed any other original artwork for your auction. I would be happy to donate if there is still time. Please visit my website to view my work, I have been sketching the characters from Once Upon A Time.

    Thank you,
    Francesca Benevento

Hi Francesca! Thank you so much for your kind offer. We would definitely be interested in a donation of your OUAT art for our next auction, so we will reach out to you once our 2015 fundraising plans are finalized. Cheers!
